Our Trial Lesson is around 30 Minutes, depending on Air Traffic control. You will get complete control of the cyclic in the helicopter with a professional, experienced, friendly pilot by your side. This upgrade also offers a low-level demonstration the ultimate helicopter experience.
Your helicopter trial flight is a premium, no-obligation introductory lesson designed to show you what helicopter flight training feels like from the first minute. You’ll start with an instructional pre-flight briefing, where your instructor explains the helicopter, the plan for the lesson, and how the flight controls work. Then it’s time to fly. With dual controls and a professional pilot beside you, you’ll get hands-on time on the cyclic and experience the thrill of real helicopter handling, not just a passenger ride. This upgrade also includes a low-level flight demonstration for an unforgettable perspective over Brisbane. On the way back into Archerfield, your instructor may demonstrate a simulated engine failure as part of the learning experience. Your flight time can be logged toward licence hours, making this a genuine first step into pilot training.
Choose between the following:
- Robinson R22: A two-seater utility helicopter (Max Weight: 100kg)
- Robinson R44: A four-seater utility helicopter (Max Weight: 135kg)
(All participants will be weighed before the flight with our calibrated scales)
Due to stringent safety and legal requirements, all passengers are required to provide their accurate weight, including clothing and small personal items (e.g. handbags, cameras, backpacks); everything they will be flying with.
If any passenger’s actual weight on the day differs from the weight provided prior to flying, the flight may be cancelled at the operator’s discretion, and no refund will be issued.
